For Authors
Wilmington Law Review
The Wilmington Law Review is a scholarly journal published by students at Wilmington University School of Law. We welcome articles and essays submitted by academics, judges, and practitioners. We invite submissions that are of national interest or of particular interest to the Delaware legal community.
How to Submit
All interested authors should submit their work through the online submission system, Scholastica.
-
Submission Timeframes: We generally accept submissions of manuscripts twice per year, during the Spring and Fall articles seasons. Scholastica will be opened on August 1 and February 1, respectively. NOTE: Beginning March 29, 2026, we will accept manuscripts for a limited time.
-
Author Information: When submitting, in addition to a complete manuscript, we ask that authors submit (1) a cover letter that includes name, article title, word count, phone number, and email address and (2) a CV or résumé.
-
Submission Length: We accept articles of up to 25,000 words and shorter essays. Word limit guidelines will enhance the quality of legal scholarship and improve the editing process. Articles between 10,000 and 20,000 words are preferred.
-
Submission Format: Please format your manuscript with double-spaced body text in Microsoft Word and single spaced footnotes rather than endnotes. Citations should conform to the 22nd edition of The Bluebook.
Thank you for your interest in the Wilmington Law Review.
